Son in Hospital!

Good to hear things are improving, even with the additional complications. Hang in there, pall.

I am away and just getting this news. Prayers your way and I am glad you are getting some postive news.

We almost lost my Dad two years ago to MRSA.

I'll add a few extra prayers for him.....maybe it'll help speed him along with recovery...

Just giving you an update! We just got a report yesterday from one of his doctors that he will recover!!! The severity of damage to his lungs will mean a very long recovery period for them to heal, possibly 6 or more months! He is still on the ventilator, but must be removed by Monday, as the tube can stay in no longer than 14 days. He might have to have a tracheotomy to assist in his breathing for a little longer period. I'm just happy we still have him! PJ

Very happy to hear this! A long recovery - but nevertheless a recovery! I can only image how relieved you are to know this!

Really good news Paul. Thanks for letting us know.
Tom

Very good news Paul.
Only problem with the lung damage is that it will be a lot tougher to make them engines sounds when he's up in the glider!

Thanks for that encouraging update.

I'll hold him Paul... you can kick him in his shins :eagerness:

C'mon...it was funny....
You got to admit that:highly_amused:

Glider pilots have to stick together!

Wow - I had not seen this prior to now - his recovery is great news!
It's hard to imagine what all of you have been through and I wish your son a complete (if long) recovery.

Great news on his recovery.

Thanks for the update Paul. Glad to hear he is recovering.

Off the ventilator as of yesterday morning! He's doing well on his own! His recovery has amazed his 4 doctors and the entire ICU staff. From a 20% chance of survival, he has won the battle! Physical therapy starts today and will continue for weeks to come. According to his doctors, it might be months before he can go back to work. Thank you all who said a prayer for him, they helped! MRSA + pneumonia go hand in hand and is a devastating illness, pray you or a loved one never gets it. PJ

Great news! :applause:

Fantastic news!
