Son got outta Dodge!

I feel his pain. My youngest is, as we speak, in Chicago doing two interviews at U. of Chicago and Northwestern for his medicine residency. 8* below with a wind chill approaching my age. That little Cajun-esque (Arab, yet) kid will freeze his buns off up there! I mowed my yard yesterday down here in South Louisiana. The webs between David's feet will freeze!

A real Doc in the family,Doc?

Looks like my son left Grand Forks for his new assignment outside of Las Vegas just in time:
40 Below!

Didn't it just snow in Vegas? Maybe it followed him

Send me his address and I'll fedex him a snowball :jester: He picked a good time to leave as there is a ton of snow around. I would not be suprised if it hits -40 again tonight. -18f currently.

Actually compared to some of the reports I was hearing earlier about this wonderfully cold airmass we have it pretty good. I guess some place in alaska went off the scale that stopped at -72f. All I can say is thank god for the remote start when it works. Forget about driving a car when its that cold without warming it up. It wont be happy you wont be happy and everything will ice up and try holding onto a -40f steering wheel.

Yes, but it wasn't 40 below zero!
And I might add ....
It isn`t going to stick with any tenacity.
Snowballs there are about as close to you know where as they can get
I may envy him the winter In Las Vegas but I certainly will not envy him the summer there!

Kinda makes all of us that work outside re-think that whole global warming thing...

It's not global warming anymore.

Big Brother Al Gore now refers to it as Climate Change.

Kind of like the weatherman saying that there's a 50% chance of rain tomorrow. If it's rains he's right and if it doesn't he's right.

Come to think of it, wasn't the last ice age a "climate change"?

NOT FAIR ! I call foul!
As much as I would love to add my comment about "Big Brother" I will refrain!

woof. That photo induced a flashback.

I'll sit in my Florida hovel and shiver now. In remembrance and fear.
