those rpm's sound normal to me. yea they handle like go Karts. the vibration could be some unbalanced tires. also you want to be careful with the valve cover do not over tighten it it will bend and become mostly useless. I rtv mine to the valve cover to hold it in place. with the top up there can be quite a bit of noise, top flapping and all, much better with the top down. you will of course get him to join the forum ...wont you?

Those rpm's sound really good. I don't think I could get up to 65 at 3500rpm. I have a spreadsheet at home that lists gear ratio's and speed. I'll have to check it out but I was thinking the 1500's were around 16.7mph per 1000rpm. At any rate congrats on the new toy. I think he will enjoy it. Oh and btw, he better get used to playing the the electrical circuits. Until they have been gone through things are going to keep going in and out...lol

H, I'm a new member from the UK. Check 1. Tires are round! 2.If you have wire wheels, wheels are round! 3.Get tires balanced, the steering is so positive that any out of balance comes through to the steering wheel. Also possibly an out of true brake disc (think you call them rotors), very lightly press on the bake pedal, if you feel a vibration through the pedal is warped.
