Sometimes things just don't work out

Sometimes no matter how hard you try, things just don't work out. One thing you can't do is compensate for someone else's short comings. You can't lead a horse....but you can't make people communicate. Often times the rational one is left with a difficult painful decision. Given the current economic times, it makes it even more difficult.

"Better is a little with love...."

It's a shame what seemed so perfect could turn out so wrong for all involved. I just hope it ends on good terms, but I don't see that in the future. Hardest thing is when to pull the trigger. All avenues exhausted and I've run out of tricks. At least I'm man enough to admit when I'm wrong. I can't stand people who blame others instead of owning up to their faults.

Thank God for Kelly, I don't know what I'd do without her. She's my rock.

I'm perplexed as to your situation. However, your observations are spot on. Hug Kelly and breathe. Sometimes unpleasant events have a way of resolving itself with no action on your part.
:grouphug:

Sounds like he about to sell the new 6

Sometimes you need to hang in, head down, and be the bacon-to-home facilitator. Sometimes you need to cut and look elsewhere. Hard times, hard decision. Big stress is no fun, never worth the ducats.

Lots of folks are having hard times, this recession is pervasive, and awful.

A good friend of mine just finished selling off his once-thriving home construction business. No one is building much around here, the business just dried up. Now, he has to sell his lovely home (3 blocks from me) and move his family to a rental home. His heart is broken, his dream business, gone. I helped him clean out his office last weekend, it was very sad. He'll survive, because he's a survivor. But it's hard . . .

This too shall pass. Keep the chin up, keep moving forward, keep loving the people you love. It will pass.

Good luck to you, Kellysguy. :yesnod:

FWIW, some of us have been there, too, and we did okay.

Yesterday I got in the elevator at work with a co-worker and friend. I struck up some small talk by asking him how his car (an older BMW) was running. "You didn't hear," he said. I was thinking he was talking about his car, so I asked, "don't tell me you wrecked it?" "No," he replied. "I got laid of today." It was very sudden and unexpected. The hallway where I work is like a ghost town.

My guess is that I'm not gonna get the chance to meet Kellysguy, and pit crew with him at Watkins in the fall...... That would stink.
I knew I shoulda gone to Jersey.... another major life opportunity missed.

I was hoping that that was NOT what he was talking about.

My middle son was just graduated from Loyola University School of Law in New Orleans last month. There were 250 graduates. My son Mike has a job lined up starting next month. 248 of the graduates have no job prospects. Rough.

I'm feeling a bit better today but still deeply disappointed. Problem is things like this affect me to the point I can't function sometimes. Things seem o.k for the moment. Will continue forward, but it aint easy for someone like me.

I don't enjoy being encumbered by position or possession but I have to do what's right for my wife....my sweet perfect and beautiful wife in whom I'm well pleased who puts up with me crazy arse.

Talking about tough jobs, I would NOT want to be my wife !!!!

Poor thing, she's such a saint.

I told her earlier that I can assure her there is an extra comfy spot in heaven for her for putting up with me.

No Don, still have the 6 and my big order just came in.

I'm doing this mainly for Kelly....but I really would like a clean 6 with a/c.

Hey what's it mean when someone is over their PM limit?
Doug, didn't you pay your electric bill this month?

It means they need to delete some PMs from tehir inbox or they can't receive any new PMs. I wish the forum software would put some big pop-up in their faces to force them to clean their inbox. Otherwise most people don't even realize it!

Boss, it use to say that their in box was full. Did the last software update change the verbage?

Oh my friend, verily I have said. There is that which may not be spoken of, given that access is known. As you see, to be exposed, forces the hand. Lest my portion be dealt that of wrath; I abstain.

When the bottle is rubbed feverently, you may be granted anything but wishes and dreams.

Truly I say unto you, the measure measured with shall indeed be repaid in full, and to an extent far greater than the largest of expectations.

In outer darkness, there shall be great weeping and knashing of teeth as cries pierce the through the bitter sorrow, "Oh, if I had only known !!!".

For you see, it is folly to those who have mistaken for a droob.
