After having my shocks rebuild last year, almost all the rattles and clunks disappeared. The BT7 rode like it was brand new. Of course I then began to hear a few other noises that had been drowned out by the worn and loose shocks. The passenger door rattled a bit. I determined the original door striker was worn after 53 years and the excess play caused the door to rattle. I replaced it and that noise disappeared. The next rattle was determined to be the metal stiffener bars in the tonneau cover. When moving, they bang against the metal tonneau rail creating a racket right behind your head. I used some heavy rubber bands to hold the bars against the rail and now they are quiet. What a joy it is to drive now. You would think it's a brand new car.
