Something is wrong but I don't know what

The sun on my neck bothers me although it's not too hot. The winds is cold but not really; I'd rather not be bothered by both. I want to drive my car but don't feel like it. The two days I planned on going to Cruisin' The Coast, the first I didn't feel like it and the second I forced myself to go. (traffic was horrible, I was almost hit and then went home).I figured no big deal as I'm about to drive to Fairhope.

The Fairhope, AL show is today. This is my yearly all back road 200+ mile trip that I love....and I don't feel like going. I'm up, packed and ready to leave....I just don't feel like it.

I still enjoy driving my car....when I feel like it. I guess it's o.k, I'll just "save up" my driving for when I feel like it. The problem is, I feel guilty for road trips to nowhere in the middle of the week....or even on weekends.

I think I'll go back to bed.

Am I getting old?

Inna funk. I've been that way lately too. All my passions seem to have fizzled, and I struggle to get motivated over anyting. I still seem to have lots of interests, but no ambition to do anything about them.

Go get a checkup from the doc. Make sure your vitamin D levels are up.

I was feeling like crap and he made me start taking mega doses, improved almost overnight.

:iagree: with Jody. You must get out of the funk, time is our most valuable asset - don't waste it.

~Although~, the bed was warm and cozy when I got back in. :yesnod:

Had a nice day w/ Kelly too.

Might think about putting the computer away for a while, finding a local non-profit that needs some volunteer help, and give them a hand. Meet new people, get out into a new environment, and do some good for others.

Just a thought.

Got lots of that already. I just don't feel like driving my car when I should.

It's not a funk. previuously the cold didn't bother me. Last year I decided I'd probabaly use the hard top all winter this year. Now, just slight coolness bothers me even though it shouldn't. The sun bothers me more now too.

you could be a vampire.

Or, (and judging by the time on many of your posts) you could be sleep deprived. I know that when I am not sleeping as I should many of the symptoms you describe manifest themselves. I heard not too long ago an sleep researcher make the point that given our current pace of life many of us can't even remember the last time we had a good night's sleep.

I've voting "getting old." I've noticed this too (and I just hit 60). I feel like I want to spend the winter someplace warm (i.e., change the venue), and try some other things. The trouble with even THINKING about retirement is that you don't STOP thinking about it once you've started.

Billy,

I feel the same way sometimes - look at ALL of the "Stuff"
in the garage that I need to sell off,but I can't bring myself to
start posting it anywhere. And every time I start to get going on a
project,I seem to have a problem with people that I need to help me
go the next step.
And almost every time I get a few hundred dollars ahead, something
happens that I need to use it for.

Oh, it's much too late for that. :jester:

Funny you should say that, I've actually considered getting back on track with a dream I thought wasn't going to happen. Might even go back to school for a bit for it too. :yesnod:
(I've been wanting to go back anyway but coldn't justify it until now)

It's all still up in the air but I feel strongly encouraged to move foreward.

Good for you! Go for it (whatever it is).
I've thought about some painting ("no, dear, not the house")... or drawing.

ā€œFirst, you must learn how to handle a brush. I would suggest that you all get together and paint someone's house for a start.ā€ #Ignatius J. Reilly

I can't wait to see what you're up to. I've got some new paths coming into view here. no drastic changes to be seen as of yet, but things will be interesting. now I just need to get off my duff.(Vitamin D huh?)
Go for it bro! make a mark.
