I am in town babysitting our granddaughter and my wife just called to say something big is going on at our local Smiths grocery store. Apparently, there are dozens of cops and what she thought was a bomb squad that truck.

The whole area was blocked off as she was driving home, not sure what’s going on yet but something serious.
 
What is it with people thinking it "fun" to pull stunts like that. Hope the LEO's get a bead on whoever put the threat out there.

We had an incident here last week..... a threat was phoned into the police but it was determined to be a "swatting" (prank) incident.
The same could apply to the one they had a "Smiths"
 
I remember my first "bomb threat"; Paschal High School in Fort Worth, around 1964 or 65. We even had "bomb threat drills" where we all marched outside and stood in lines, at least a block from the school. Those threats happened in schools and colleges - and airports - across the USA in the 1960s.

When my dad lost his job of 25+ years at age 55, he applied to be a "secret" armed FBI agent on Americans airline routes.
