Well i was able to put the beast up on blocks this past weekend. After taking the wheels off, i noticed the rust spots that people always say about. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif The next step is to get everything unbolted that is on the body. When i 1st got the car i was hoping to have it running next summer, but that ain't gonna happen. I was way over anxious on my timeline and i have realized that slow and steady wins the race. I dont want to be redoing anything so do it right the 1st time.

some great pics ... reminds me of what i was looking at about 2 years ago. i am about 6 months to a year from paint and agree that it's a long steady process that should have a flexible timetable.

Looks really good all things considering.

Just love it and replace the needful.

That by the way is an orginial and correct SPRITE flash on the rear. IF ANYONE KNOWS WHERE TO GET THEM LET ME KNOW PLS.

Please let me see a pic of the lugage rack.

I dont have any pics of the luggage rack at the moment. Next time i am there i will get some pics for you. How does wednesday sound. It is in pretty good shape. It has been sitting in a garage for 16 years

Super, my wife is kind of insisting that Miss Agatha have a lugage rack but the ones from Moss are too wide in my opinion. Yours looks a bit narower and thus more pleasing.

I will take some rough measurements for you to.

I guess some people like narrow racks, hahaha. sorry had to say something /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

He's not in that bad of shape.

Progress is progress whether small or big.

The one question both me and my buddy had is what is the leather strap for on the rear suspension? Is that so the rear end doesn't fall off while driving. That is all we could think of. Maybe we are way off.

Just a bit off.

The strap is for when you jack the car up from the body. To insure that the rear axle raises more quickly so that it doesn't have to be raised as high to get the tire off the ground.

Patrick

Not only that but without the strap the prop shaft will hit the bottem of the tunnel.
