If you have an interest in vintage sports car races, you should enjoy this footage from Paramount Ranch in 1956. There is an overpass, a complete lack of guard rails, some wonderful cars, and very nice drifting in this footage. I really appreciated the TR3 where the driver was waving as he went by. I remember that this track was the basis of one of the slot car magazine's track layouts that was a series of articles. I hope some of you enjoy this movie.

Dave - what a great bit of history. Thanks for the link. Never knew about Chicaneblog 'til now.

What make/model is the "136 Fresno" car at 0:20?

Tom

? Ford Consul?

I remember the days when corner worker stood on the edge of the track-when spectators could run across the track-when we thought a row of hay bails would stop a car-when drivers wore golf shirts and plastic hats-and roll bars were for sissies. Good times never to be seen again.

I flew over Paramount Raceway a few days ago. You can still see much of the track.
A while back I took the GTS for a drive on the main straightaway. It was both fun and sad at the same time.
