I'm thinking of going to this would solve the gas price crunch! Water and wood or coal are all that are needed. 1924 Stanley Steamer! :thumbsup2:

Great idea! (but maybe not during a drought?)

Don't forget the 1940s wood gas generators on cars:

Wood or charcoal. And no extra water required!
 
Tom, I remember a movie I saw many years ago about getting a bunch of kids off of an island infested with Japanese troops in WWII using a bus with one of those setting on the back bumper, it worked and the children were saved! I wish I could remember the name of the movie as it was quite detailed. Too many years have gone by and memory is not quite what it used to be. :rolleyes2:
 
I've been looking for another Dodge Dakota pickup for some time.
A while back I found a (supposedly) nice one in Pennsylvania.It had been
converted to to operate on wood.Somehow I just couldn't bring myself
to purchase it.
