Just a little milestone.....

I was invited to attend a fall colour drive and exhibit my artwork at the "base camp". Met BCF member RomanH there, and he asked to buy my portrayal of Nigel Mansell (Il Leone) in his Ferrari F1 car......

So, some good news and a somewhat bittersweet occasion, as I was really rather fond of that one!

Just thought I'd share.

Good Show Roman,
makes you a professional now Steve.
No more amateur status for you

Cool !!!!

Steve, always put a stupid high price on the work you like. That way if it goes, you won't be disappointed.

I thought about it, but decided on balance that I needed to sell it. I can always paint something else I like as much. I hope....

Your favorites are usually your best! Good Job and congratulations.

Congrats, Steve! Good show!

Way to go, it is good that someone else can enjoy it.

Congrats Steve! By the way folks, you can see more of Steve's work if you go to the "Member's Art" section (link in the boxes on the left!

Well done, Steve!

Steve, congrats. I'm not surprised that your work sells.

It's tough times for artists, even good ones. I know a couple who've had the worst year or so, ever. So bad they're thinking about getting a, umm, real job. Not good.

When times are bad for professional artists, it's bad for everyone. BTW, I happen to be one of the folks who believe art is one of the few (maybe the only) things that separate us from the apes. :yesnod:

Cheers to you.

Not so, Mark!

Good show Steve
I'm sure it was hard to part with it, but I'm sure it will bring a lot of pleasure to the new owners.
Hope you got a lot of Monet!

Too many French painters doc.... glad Steve is giving them competition.
I just may have to sell my Elvis painting on black velvet that I bought at a gas station some years back. I'm sure it has to be worth a fortune today :jester:
