I know for a fact we have a few computer geeks in this fine forum and was hoping for some suggestions. I am running Adobe 6 Professional and would like a suggestion for an inexpensive editing program to use with it. I want to download forms to Adobe and add text to them. Any suggestions ?
I realize there are a couple of you who do not like Adobe but I was given it for free.

Adobe makes a BUNCH of stuff. PhotoShop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat... more, too. Just can't think of 'em now.

Adobe Acrobat? If so, you can about "drag and drop" anything into it and edit away.

Was hoping you would answer. I have blanks forms that I use from clients and would like to fill out as invoices for work. If I download them as a PDF I can't seem to add the text in the areas I want.

Herself is the applications faerie... I'm just th' LAN and systems goof. I'll ask her as soon as she graces the hovel (about 40 minutes out just now). But I remember it to be an edit function. That's a Winderz app and I'm on a Linux system currently. SHE has the keys to those ~other~ machines. Please be patient Don, or mebbe someone else may pap up with intimate Acrobat knowledge.

To edit, you need to enable the typewriter toolbar. I may be missing the question all together, but to fill out info, I click the typewriter button, put the cursor in the box, and type away.

Editing existing documents is another thing all together. If you need to edit the original, I will have to bow to the more knowledgeable.

I'm told it could be a font issue, too. Adobe fonts... I'll dig deeper.
