TR4/4A Soft top success

So today I decided to put on the new soft top that came with the 1964 TR4...hummm...very tight fit here...tug tug...still tight...ahha...hair dryer on high applied to where the soft top snaps in and voila...fit like a dream...Marla

Glad you got it on - they can be tight after sitting awhile.

One trick in case you don't know it is to secure the front edge and the rear lift-the-dots with the 'knees' of the bow mechanism uncocked. once everything is in place then used the heel of your hand to push the 'knees' into position. This give you some leverage and is usually easier than trying to stretch the top over those pegs in the rear.
