Soft Top Straps

I am installing a new soft top on my car. The fitting of the hood has been straight forward, but the peripheral bits have me stumped. I have been using the factory Service Parts List as a guide. The List shows that I need 3 straps with which to stow the hood when not in use. I am at a loss as to how the hood straps fix to the car or even what they look like. Can anyone enlighten me please.

See the attached file which comes from the factory Service Parts List page R.6. Item 35 is described as "Strap assembly - hood frame stowage" - one required. I have never seen one of these and cannot find them on any of the suppliers' web sites. does anyone know their dimensions and how they fix to the car?

Item 36: "Strap assembly - hood stowage" - two required. Again, I have never seen one. Can anyone help. These straps seem to have some sort of metal fitting attached, or is that a metal buckle?

Any assistance is appreciated.

When the hood is rolled up around the hood sticks you have 2 straps that go thru slots under the front edge of the boot and secure hood and sticks as a unit. The sticks will fit into the 2 brackets mounted on the front of the rear bulkhead. My straps looked like old military surplus woven canvas straps with a metal buckle.

Thanks for the guidance, Rut. I took a look at my car and saw the slot for the frame strap. Never noticed it in 14 years of ownership!

i will head off to my local tack shop tomorrow and have the straps made up, now that I have an idea of width and thickness.
