all right...yesterday i was looking for a hardtop for the 1963 bj7 that i recently bought...sans top but with wood and bow parts. i bought all the proper seals and a new convertible top and realized that this is a job that i do not wish to tackle. i live in the greenville south carolina area and am soliciting advice on an installer in this area...or if need be someone within a 100-150 mile radius. the plight of the newbie...please be gentle! a complimentary pic is attached!

I can not point you in the right direction for an installer, but can advise the following.

Your installer should check out the soft top frame first against the side windows, make sure that the frame opens correctly against the glass and that the lines are correct at the joint to the rear of the windows. (assuming that the wood and seals are in place on the frame). There are some photos on this site from Randy Forbes that can show you what I mean- https://www.rfdm.com/gallery/album208?page=1 . I fully expect that some work will be necessary to get the frame into proper alignment, maybe even to the extent of shifting the side glass a tad to help in getting the right clearances at the rear of the glass. I have fitted my soft top twice now so can offer further advice if you want it.

Try this one, the other gallery does not seem to work
