I have this *new* AMCO softop, but no instructions on how to fit it.
Anyway, the front header rail is where I'm having troubles, getting it apart.
If anyone has anything, please email it to me.....

please, remove the *FATCAT*
Cheers in advance.

I AM the "fat cat!"

The instructions that came with my top said, "pay close attention when removing the old top and reverse this process."

Honestly.

Well, I just placed an order with Moss, involving overnight shipping for the new thin strip and rubber strip, because I find it hard to reverse the process of ripping rivets out.
The guy said that they recommend professional installation.
I'm not going to find that kind of expertise around here, that soon.
I'll try it.

Found my problem.
It was supposed to have screws provided, but they were absent, to replace the rivets.
Can anyone tell me what size screws to buy, and I can get them from the hardware store in the morning.
Ta.

Aye, I have rivets.
I think I'm making too much of a big deal out this. I think the guy at Moss scared me, and it's getting way to close to departure time for me to be having issues.

Make sure you get the top really warm before you stretch it to fit to the header rail. It is easier to fit the rear section and then pull it to the header rail. Good luck,
JC

Yes, the size screws you would need would be directly proportional to the size holes you left when you "ripped out" the rivets.

Or just put in new rivets!

That is what we did, we used an 1/8 inch drill to remove the old & then reinstalled using new rivets.

Barry ,

Looking good, got to do the same with mine in a few weeks. New top in the garagew just need to find the time to put it on.

Barry, that's a beauty!!
