Hi every one I need to know if I have the right top & wrong frame or the other way around. so does enay one know where I could see some pictures of a frame for a BT7 Tri carb
sn # 15215 thanks Bill Toppin

Hi Bill, Have you tried Moss Motors? I do have an extra frame but not sure what it's for. My car is a Bn7 and it came with the car when I bought it. Tried to put it on one day and it didn't fit. I ordered the correct one from Moss.
Maybe we can do some swap trading if mine will fit a BT7.
The first major difference between the old one and the new is the new has a fairly straight rail across the front that
will attach at the wind screen. The other appears that it does not contact the windscreen at all and has three bows that are well behind the windscreen. Any simularities to yours? Bob

Your "other" one sounds like a set of four-seater top bows (BT7).

Bill, What seems to be giving the problem? Will the frame mount up to your car? Is the front edge of the soft top arched or is it fairly straight across? I know when I had the wrong frame it would not even attach to my car in any way shape or form. Bob........ Randy, I think your correct. Is a bt7 top the same as a bn4? Thanks Bob

I don't know, and my parts books are still packed up (just moved 2 mos. ago), but should be able to check part numbers to verify applications.

Randy, Your bn6 top is the same as my bn7 I think. I also have the ribed 57 hood on my car since I haven't been able to locate a 3000 hood. ( I noticed in your pictures)

hi all thanks for all the replys what is wrong is that the seams in top don't match the position of the frame so the back window and top are baggy to the back the rest fits fine it seems . my frame does not go to the windsheild but bearly goes past the back of the seat it is a 4 seater hope this helps

bill toppin, check out www.moss motors.com,go to austin healey, then "tops" you should be able to tell from the the picts if the one you have is the one for your car or not.anthony7777 1963 bj7 3000.sounds as if you have a four seat top with a two seat frame. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cheers.gif
