Socket for TR3 Gear box drain plug

Changing the oil on the TR3B I am working on for a friend and I had a time getting the drain and fill plug out. Must have been done up by a weightlifting champ.

Not having the square tool to get on the plugs I made one that I could get a socket on. Worked a treat. A little filing and welding.

Way to go. Fun to be able to make a tool when you need it.
 
Before my Uncle past he gave me his tools and aircraft mec from the WWII days until he retired. not much use for LBC's but can be Wall Art for sure.
