Or what do you normally pack with you on your person when out & about?

This is my normal work load.
Keys - truck this time.
Razor cell phone (Boss's leash /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/rolleyes.gif)
Money clip - actually has money today (teenage son obviously hasn't been in my room yet /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif ).
Leatherman Tool - the WAVE (only wear it for work)
Wallet (DI, Plastic & a few kid pictures)
Wristwatch/Chronograph - Chase Durer (Blackhawk MACH 3 = Bullet proof! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/hammer.gif )
Cool Shades /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cool.gif

I don't have a wallet. All I carry is a few bucks in cash, a couple cards and my car / house key.

When I have to I include my cell phone. The rest is just extra baggage.

Wallet
Glasses case
keys

phone if I'm going to be out in the b or on a road trip except durring winter when I keep it on hand any time I'm out.

See I'm a lawabiding citizen of the Golden State. Most of us don't get concealed weapons permits - leastways they're allmost impossible to get. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

What's in my wallet? A vacuum after playing with LBCs and antique tractors.
happy0148.gif

wallet with DL, ATM card, and plastic
Paper clip with money... but mostly there to pick the lint out of my pockets.
keys with my "Unit coin" attached; never go anywhere without my Unit Coin /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif
cell phone ... always have it, hands free blue tooth device stays in the car; even then I stop for serious calls.
ciggies
lighter

Moths! Maybe a Spider or two! D.L. stays in Truck unless I plan on driving the M.H.. Sence i`v been pickpocked {wallet out of rear pocket in a crowd} my cash stays in my front pocket. I don`t have a "Regular" credit card, {wouldn`t use it if I did!} I hate inconvience, I only carry essential items for the task at hand. I have a pre paid C.C. but only use it for my Tr-3 purchases. As for a cell phone, ME sign one of those AWFUL contracts YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING! NOPE i`m not addicted to any phone NO WAY!
I`m a bare minimum type of guy when it comes to stuff I have to lug around with me.

For the ~longest~ time I refused to get a Cell Phone. Now that I have one, I don't leave home without it, too handy for roadside emergencies. I barely use it. The biggest bennie I get out of my Cell is I talk with family in FL "free" after 7PM weeknights, and Weekends.

Just the usual kit:

waterproof wallet
boat captain's license
fishing knife
prescription fishing glasses
$40 boat fuel cash
digital camera for "The big ones"
car driver's license
cell phone in case we sink
thumb drive in case I have to work.

Typical packout if I'm going to work.

Wallet (typical wallet stuff, but oddly I don't have any photos in mine-don't like the idea of sitting on my friends and family). It's not an overstuffed "George Costanza" item with hard candy in it.
Keys-personal and work on separate rings.
Spare change (anywhere from the twenty four cents in pennies I have right now to the four bucks in quarters I used to buy a Coke and some gum at White Hen the other day)
Watch (Swiss Army)
Stainless steel ball chain wrapped around other wrist (I like to tell people that it's loo chain and that I stole it from a toilet at the Eiffel Tower, a Leno taping, or some other landmark. In reality it's from a press pass nametag I used to wear). Sometimes I don't wear it.
Ray Ban Wayfarers in case (regular glasses in case when wearing Ray Bans).
Ipod, headphones.
I often have a book with me, but that's usually left in the car. Just finished "Dirty Martini" by J.A. Konrath. Am starting "The Black Dahlia" by James Ellroy tomorrow.

There are other odds and ends that I end up with, like extra Claritins, or gum, or a flash drive, or extra pens and box cutters. More stuff in the winter when I wear coats.

I carry a money clip with currency, a charge card, and my driver's license.

Car or truck keys if I'm driving.

Ibuprofen.

Corrective lense glasses or sunglasses and my wedding ring.

That's about it.

No wallet, no watch. Cell phone stays in the car...I rarely/never have it on my person. (I've been known to find voicemails a month after they've been left by the calling party.)

cell phone (it's my work phone so it costs zip), wallet, keys, lighter, smokes, and that's it. I don't wear jewelry cause I work around high voltage and I need every advantage I can get

Can you image Homeland Security took away my
itty bitty fishing knife when I forget it was
in my pocket? They called it a box cutter;
I call it a line cutter.

different strokes..

Under what circumstances did THAT occur, Dale?

Took my son to the airport yesterday and at first they wanted me to take him to the gate because he forgot his wallet & ID. Lucky the TSA screeners (I know a few of’em) said that wasn't necessary because he's still only 17 so he didn’t need an escort otherwise I'd of had to walk back out to the truck to get rid of my leatherman.

In my vast flying experience I’ve discovered that things vary from one airport to the next as far as personal items goes. But the rule of thumb is if you’re not sure don’t bring it through security and tuck said item in you’re checked luggage. But any sort of blade is a no-no regardless of the size.

But: I thought Dale didn't fly... Thought mebbe this was during an encounter onna water.

regarding TSA and knives.... (because I just cannot resist a good thread-jack)...

I took the boy to Cub Scout Camp a couple of weeks ago and he was so proud his buttons popped because he earned his "Whittling Chip" in knife safety training (he's 8). None of us parents realized this was going to happen so we were not prepared with the "give the boy his first knife" moment. We ran over to the "scout store" at the camp lodge and they had a 5 gallon pickle bucket full of knives for 10bucks each. Turns out that the TSA gives all the confiscated knives to the BSA and they distribute them to all the councils around the country.

Fortunately nobody seemed to know what a good knife was and out of 5 gallons of cheap give-away chinese swiss army knife replicas I found the only geniune Wenger in the tub.

Thanks to whoever forgot to stuff it before going through screening for genuinely making my son's entire week and giving me a chance to have a father-son moment that he will never forget.

And remember: Grandpa always said "if you don't carry a pocket knife you might as well sit down to pee"
