Honda will only sell you the entire iggy LOCKSET, even if only th' electrical bit is faulty. $350+!!! For a ten dollar SWITCH!!!

Those li'l guys have learn'd well from th' '50's Dee-troit fellas. Then expanded on it.

P.T. Barnum is somewhere laughin' 'is posterior right off.

Doc;
What year, make and model, cause I got a guy at Honda Canada who can get the electrical without the key?
Let me know.

Thanks, Dave, but that was weeks ago. I "MacGyver'd" it with a switch from a "salvage" car. It's all better now. Two screws and two connectors....

OI!!! You can ummm... well, yeah.

But, Nissan keeps selling cars...almost faster than anybody else.

Was getting new tires on my old green truck y'day & there was one of those new Chevy trucks with the Corvette drivetrain in for a new wheel & tire....$2000!

Apparently I'm doin' somethin' waaay wrong.

I can't imagine shootin' that much money down a rathole. :madder:

& how much do you have in your MGB, Doc? To each his own....

Iknow, I know... His lolly, his choice.

As fer th' B... I stopped keepin' THAT ledger a WHILE ago.

I'm keeping all the receipts on my Corvette project just to see how much I have in it when finished.

He's just masochistic...

...or ~VERY~ efficient.

When I was a tender lad of 18 I worked on the assembly line at GM. I remember on two occaisions a group of 10-15 future makers of Honda being given a 2-3 hour tour of my assembly line. They photographed, took notes on, examined, looked behind corners, lifted, touched, and smelled just about everything in my section. All the while the 'higher-ups' were 'motor-mouthing' every conceivable detail that wasnt immediately obvious. I just watched and kept pounding windshields onto Astro's.

in th' late '50s' this was goin' on in th' steel industry. Me Ol' Fella was P.O.'d as cameras (Nikon? Canon?) recorded processes...

Never do it on an MG project.....just curious how much I'll have in it when I'm finished...to put a value on it for insurance.
