So I guess Punxsutawney Phil decrees six more weeks of winter, oh well...

And even here, Balzac Billy also saw his shadow, apparently they are all in agreement this year...

And do all groundhogs love the ladies?

Groundhog day on the mainland? I thought that is when you sampled their meat for dinner....

ACK!! I'm going back to Florida!

LOL Tony... I don't mind winter at all, actually I love it still, just part of the climate I grew up in...

I'd take only 6 more weeks... it's usually winter here into May, so I'll take it winding up in March.

I wonder how ground hog tastes. Spring in a normal year doesn't hit till May and the flood season hits sometime in late march early april.

Drew...Rest assured, spring in on the way here in the top of Utah. I took Gizmo Joe, our 14 pound cat that also did double duty yesterday as a groundhog standin. His forecast based on what happens after I toss him outside. If he lands in snow and shakes itoff his paws, then spring is right around the corner...of he hits bare ground and likes it, more winter weather. I'm so tired of the inversion here in the valley I made sure he landed in a snowbank! So don't fear, spring is coming! Gizmo Joe is NEVER wrong! Just ask him!!!

Ground hog, aka as a whistle pig, is greasy. Hide makes a great banjo head.

I was down in the valley this weekend, Rich. Folks out on motorcycles, and not bad weather, other than the smog. That's my trade for living up here -- more winter, but it's nicer.

Your own Groundhog Rich? LOL

Yeah...and I still have my "weather rock" too. Gotta keep the skills up from when I was a weatherman.

Gizmo Joe makes a good "pseudo-groundhog." Just like the real one, kinda fat, sleeps a lot, and doesn't look very happy when "pulled out" or in his case "tossed out" in order to get his forecast. Doesn't really look like one though, as he's black and white and not brown, but then again you can't have everything.

Actually, he's our second pseudo-groundhog. Wild Willie was the first. He was a 15 pound jet black cat that served us for 13 years....
