and I have a metal click noise from the drivers side rear, has always been there when I hit a small bump.

Have been underneath and everything is fine, tight as a tick. Exhaust pipe etc. ok. Ran a magnet in the finder wells, no tools.

Now, I had the springs apart as you remember and painted and cleaned all.

Do you supose this is a spring noise of some sort. Anyone else have a like prob in the past??

Jack

I had a click from the rear suspension too.
Double check the radius arm to spring box bolts
And the spring to floor bolts along with the shock mount bolts.
I think they loosen up once everything settles in.
I also have a very minor ticking from the back end that I found tonight. It's the spare bullet connector on the wire harness in the boot flipping around when I hit a bump. (I made my harness out of a MKIII harness incase I, or should I say WHEN I get rid of that ridiculous cable driven tach and antique generator /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

Hmm, checked all those, will check again.

Jack, you probably have already replaced the bushings to the trailing arms that hold the rear axle in place, but that is where my noise came from.

Boy have I ever, everything is new. It must be the spring leaves. Maybe. Did not replace the springs only rebuilt them.
