TOUCHE', Good Sir!

The "Continental Kit" would hold a Mini wheel, right?

Hey - welcome!

Hopefully you can stick around after the car sells.

I have to save that was a great write up you did on eBay for the car, your candor and fun in writing the ad is to be commended.

Again, welcome!

Welcome sir:

I commend you for joining the fold and putting it out front.
AS STATED! It is not for everyone. But is is unique and it is for the right person.
We are glad to have you aboard and welcome your comments.

Dave

I removed my previous crass remark and I welcome you to the forum. I realized that it was in poor taste I should not judge based on my own "ideals" and that there are those who probably don't like things that I've done with my car.

So I apologize and wish you and the new owner good luck in your selling and buying.

Someone did some very nice work converting/customizing the car, but I don't really care for the straight back of the top and the limo window on such a small car, too boxy. I would have liked it more if the top was slanted and had a conventional rear window. But, that's just me. Cheers!

Home Jeeves....

Ah yes, the Dove GTR4...about 100 produced.

Art,

That's ironic - I was looking thru one of my
old magazines (Sports Car Graphic,I believe),& saw
a road test for the Dove.

Hahahahahahahahahaha! I just found this on eBay and was going to post a link to it as well.

And I quote:

"something Eddie Munster would drive."

Indeed.

Nice description and an interesting car that has obviously had a lot of effort put into it.
I have always liked the fact that people are prepared to customise their cars in the USA. Most classics here are rebuilt to original specification, or slightly modernised mechanically, but rarely have such modifications to the bodywork.
... or so I thought until I came across this Escort-Mini-Herald. I have to admit that I quite like it!!!
