I wouldn't worry about a little "oooze", but if it is slinging oil all over the place I'd be concerned that the seal is shot.
If it were me I'd closely monitor the oil level. Ensure that it doesn't drop much below "full" (at or just below fill hole w the car level), and see if leaking stops once a "happy level" (no more than approx 1" below "full") is achieved.
-IF it stops once this "happy level" is reached, then just keep an eye on it to ensure that leak doesn't reappear.
-IF it continues to sling oil, and/or level continues to drop, you are probably gonna need new seals (I usually replace both the pinion & the axle seals all at the same time).
Personally, I hate leaks.
A little drip here or there I can live with.
But if it is leaking enough that I'm worried about the fluid level then I start replacing seals, gaskets, and anything else necessary to ensure worry-free motoring.
...but that's just me.
