and I found 2 Elan S3's in the LA area. Sure wish i had the funds to pick one of them up. Sharp looking little cars, that are a hoot to take up into the mountains, I bet.

Yes, the Elan is a riot to drive in the mountains here.

If you are referring to the Blue and Green Elans that are for sale at a LA dealership, they are way overpriced IMO for the condition they are in. You can get into one for a lot less.
 
And ya want one earlier than the S-4 (Weber vs. Zed S carbs/head).
 
these were S3's, but thanks for the info. I already have one Zed-Es to contend with (I think I'll actually get around to swapping it out for that SU this year though /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif ), and don't really want to contend with anymore.

Yeah, those two were at some dealership out here. Since it is a dealership, I assume the normal price range for cars in that condition is 1/2 to 1/3 their asking price?
