Snowing Big Time...

...here in Central New York. Near Syracuse, we're aiming for about a foot or so. It started early this morning with a fine, dense snowfall, it's kept up all day.

Tinster...you need any help?

We dodged that bullet here!

Was expecting 4" to 6"...got maybe 2" of the white stuff.

It's really going in earnest now...(2:45PM EST)

Ahh, to be in Caribbean waters, chasing lobsters and watching for eels and sharks.

The only decent lobster is from Maine so... anyway, here in FL we have scattered thunderstorms, high wind advisories, tornado watches, one tornado warning already, and over 4mil customers without power due to some weirdness going on with "the grid".

Flew right over us guys, we were going to get sleet and just got some rain. Snow may be here by friday.

My apologies, I should have specified, "spiny lobsters" or "crabs", etc., as a connoisseur, of sorts, I'll be the first to admit there's a big difference in flavor, but frankly, I love 'em both.

I've spent more time in Maine that any "Mainer" would care to have a 'flat lander' there, but I've yet to encounter any really hot sand, even in July, or August! It's that feeling of "hot" that I need, and miss, right now...the laid back atmosphere... "what's your hurry, man?"

We were supposed to get some here this morning but nothing. I'd like a little more snow to tell you the truth. I real good blizzard to stay home and start a fire to.

That's only because it's so incredibly miserable you hardly feel like moving!

It was 83 here today. A/C was on. Winter was far too short.

here in the fingerlakes we got about 4 inches. Nothing big. roads never even got very bad. I'm all ready for spring, but I would have loved for this to be a "big one" It's fun to get one big snow during the winter. then it can all melt off and turn warm...........
