Snow surprise

As so often happens, last night's forecast was for 3-5" snow here today. Well, it just stopped - over 10" of heavy wet stuff. Gak. Tree branches bending and breaking all over the place.

With a 100+ foot gravel driveway, my wimpy 5hp snow blower chokes on it. Like moving tons of melting snow-cones - it's - "challenging".

So how have you other north east coast folk handled it?

About 9 inches here in northern RI. Sun came out and it sure was pretty.

'Bout time you got some snow Tom!

We got about 8 inches. Not much wind but lots of minor accidents. We've been in CA, OR, and WA for a month and returned via a very delayed flight last night. We stayed in a hotel in Portland (ME) last night after a 3am arrival and drove about 2 hours in the stuff today to get home. So - we missed the warm month of January here and spent it in the rainy northwest instead. Lots of trouble forecasting this one for some reason.

Ours came down in th' form of water yesterday. Temps have dropped from low 70's into below 50° overnight. Those snow pix make me wanna put on TWO pair of socks.

... at least I got to slap some paint on th' hovel on Tuesday before the ugliness hit. State Fair is just getting underway, traditionally it rains for the event. No exception this year. BLECH! March can't come soon enuff.

Keith - you want it back?

(I finally solved the Rambler choke/fast idle problem. Yeehaa!)

No thanks Tom, we've got plenty! Glad to hear about the fast idle problem.
