Here's the deal: gonna get mom's/granmother's old '68 Beetle going again to be used as a DD/primitive road going car. Car will be stock except for a slight lift for ground clearance. I'm looking for a VWish size tire (stock was 165/80/15) with a slightly aggressive tread pattern that doesn't feel "squishy" when driven on dry pavement. Basically I want an all-terrain tire like they used to make in smaller sizes but no longer do. I like a few snow tire patterns but they all have too much stippling. Something around 205(15)/75/15 should work....and of course I'd like them to be a as inexpensive and light as possible. Any suggestions?
