Snow Day

I just finished Plowing off the driveway for the umpteenth time. Getting for round .... OH ... I remember ... I quit counting after the second tank of gas for the A.T.V. . Now its off to the gas station for tank three.
P.S. The sun was nice enough to show itself long enough for me to plow this time, I`m thankful for that!
C`mon April!
Errrrr. Maybe May!
Ummmmmmm June for sure /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/rolleyes.gif

So far, the forecast storm has been pretty much a bust. After the initial 4", we haven't had any accumulation at all. I ran out to the grocery store, and while my driveway is snow covered, it's still "Volvoable", and the roads are only wet with occasional slush.
Supposed to rain next week. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/crazyeyes.gif

I'm running out of places to put the snow now. My driveway is getting narrower and narrower with each storm, and the snow banks where my snow blower deposits the snow are pretty close to being too high (about 4 - 5 feet now). I'm eyeing my neighbors' new and larger snowblowers with a certain amount of envy now. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

More snow coming this weekend...

Two of the last three days have started at 5:00 am with the snowblower and shovel. Can't get much darker, even with the tall snow walls.

A few photos from a couple storms ago:

We've gotten around 2' more since these photos. Have I mentioned lately that I'm ready for summer? /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

I've seen them cancel school here in NC because they were calling for snow and we didn't even get any. Better safe than sorry I guess.

This was our first snow day in close to 10 years. Takes a bunch of snow to ruffle the locals.

I remember back in the late 80`s, working at T.E.A.D. {Tooele Army Depot} we had a Colnoel {Commander of the depot} from Alaska. One day it started snowing {What I call pancake flakes} early in the morning! We all just knew he {The colonel} was going to call and tell us all to go home. It took him until 1:00 P.M. to decide that the snow was starting to get serious and call it a day. {we all knew it was too late at 10:00 A.M.}. What a mess! No one left the parking lot without bieng towed out by one of the several 10,000 Lb. R.T Loaders that were clearing snow. The irony of this story is the next time it snowed he let us go within 15 minutes of it starting. By the time I got home that day, {five miles} the snow had already quit. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/lol.gif
I can vividly see him shaking his head and saying to himself "What the HE** is up with Utah weather" Hahahahahahahahaha.
