We're lookin' for about two FEET of snow down here, worst winter since accurate records have been taken, about 1890ish.
I've seen 3 feet in Alexandria

36-38" in my front yard in Fairfax in '97 I think.

Just looked at the forecast for IAD; depending on how you read it they're forecasting 28-30" and lows around 9 this weekend.

Wow guys;

On the north shore of Lake Erie we have about 1" of snow and the temps are going over the freezing mark all weekend.
This year seems as if we got your weather and you got ours!
Hang tight fellas, it won't last much longer.

Dave

Better double check them compasses. The blue marble may have flipped while we was sleepin'. Don't have a compass? Flush the toilet, which way does it swirl? Report back.

Not yet. New Zealand still has summer. I just checked.

Nothing happened when I flushed. A time warp?
The white stuff just started falling here. New snow fall predictions are calling for 12-18 inches.... send in that doggie with the keg

El: Its still dry here in D'town. Do you have anything out your way yet? Just got a call to pick up the grandsons - early dismissal! Boy, what a bunch of wimps. I know, its the liability thing AND they chalk up a full day, too!
Frank, it's just started to flurry over here on the other side of the hill from you.

Ian... you can't be too far away from my location.

nothing yet here in the Wyoming Valley. The forecast is for an inch or so.

Downingtown, about a mile away from Frank. When me and the Missus aren't driving the Chester County roads we quite often head towards your neck of the woods. Frank and I keep trying to do a covered bridge drive; if we ever get our act together, perhaps you might want to join us?

You guys should DO that!!!

...cameras to get good calendar pix, too.

Ian- Great idea. Let's plan something in the spring / summer and we can do the <span style="font-style: italic">"Bridges (covered) of Lancaster County"</span>

what we need is a snow-cam. Maybe Doc can suggest a set-up. We have plenty of electronics geeks out there I know!

I have an engine in my garage thats got snow cam.

All I say is it had better be gone when I fly into DC in 2 weeks.! :hammer:

I feel for all of you looking at lots-o-snow. We've got the rain here that will turn into snow for northeast states. Just so you'll know, I just looked in my rain guage, 2.5"'s since 9:00 pm last night, and it's still comingh down unabated. We have flood warnings here and I have a new creek running in my yard.

Don't forget the bread and milk.

As requested by a few chattering teeth members,
I posted a thread of warm, tropical weather photos.
I hope they make everyone look forward to driving
this next summer.

   How did that get glanced over without comment?!
You're bad Gliderman...BAD! (Keep 'em comin')
Plenty of OT due to the accelerator campaign. We're going extended hours, and I'm going in tomorrow to do nothing but campaign cars.
We're supposed to get missed by most of the snow. It'll all stay to the south of us. just an inch or two here. how freaky is that?
