Janet and I are planning on being in E. Tennessee for part of November. Any interest in an informal gathering of BCF folks then? Anyone able to get away to take in some fall color?

Pretty much anywhere near the Nat'l Park.

Mickey....the V8 crew is planning an informal gathering in Townsend the weekend of October 5-6. Contact Dan Masters for additional information.

Thanks, Rick. Kelly sent me a note about that. I hope to be there for at least part of that.

I assume you mean to be anywhere BUT Pigeon Forge. I could see a fall trip down that way. What is this British V-8 thing of which you speak?? Didn't lots of British cars have these sweet little hemi's in them like in my SP?? :jester:

Yeah, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg - VERY crowded!

But plenty of places in and around the Nat'l Park to hook up.

We've talked about BCF gatherings in the past, but it's never happened. If there's enough interest, I'd be glad to work something up.

A little incentive:

Tempting Micky, tempting!
It's a 10+ hour drive for me but it would be cool to go.

I will certainly keep that in mind... thanks!

Let's keep the discussion going. At some point, we'll exchange contact info and get serious, if there's enough interest. Think first two weeks of November...

Timing sounds right. We're looking at -maybe- a couple or 3 nights at Biltmore. Been on our bucket list & we missed it on our cross country trip return because of time pressures. Like you say, let's see what developes.

Biltmore's an easy drive from the Park.

And the Tail of the Dragon is right there, too!

Don't know nuttin' 'bout no cruisin' the coast. The fall is the best time to be in the Smokies.

While there are MANY fun roads to experience in the area, the Tail is probably the most publicized.

318 turns in 11 miles.
