Smog Equipment & it's removal. Why?

you probably had better burning gas back then too I bet /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

The only thing I can get 'round these parts is Ethanol laced for Oxygenates. I noticed the fuel economy differences during the transition period when I could buy gas at one station that stated Ethanol use on its pumps, and buy gas at another station that stated MTBE use on its pumps. I always got 4 to 5 MPG better in the city with MTBE. I figure 25MPG on Ethanol on the HWY would translate to about 30MPG (possibly better) on MTBE on the HWY.

I got 32 MPG once in my '66 MGB... I think it was in '76 on a Pittsburgh-Cleveland run, at 55MPH onna Turnpike. I had a Statey on my butt for most of the trip. And a bumper sticker with the "55" and "international 'NO'" red circle 'n bar over it...
