Nope, still don't feel any better, breathe any better, 'smell' any better. And I have no idea where that $400 went to that I didn't spend...

Trust me -- you smell better. Just give it about another year, then go ride in an elevator with a smoker and then realize "OMG! I used to smell like that?" Yes dear, you did. I quite about 17 years ago and these days I literally can't stand to be within 5 feet of a heavy smoker. Congrats on your milestone! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cheers.gif

Basil

Ah Basil, yes, that sort of 'smell.' I do smell better. I suppose I should have said things don't smell better, my sense of smelling & taste aren't any different.

As far as smokers' smell, man, I noticed that within the first couple days.

Being around smokers doesn't bother me though. In fact, I've become a big, HUGE fan of second hand smoke...

Congrats Jaybird!

I'm proud of you. In fact, I'm jealous of you too. I'm down to one (clandestine) smoke a day... sometimes even none for a few days or a week. Then I have a really stressful day at work and just lose my will.

I just can't seem to kick it altogether. What finally did it for you?

Yeah, I know what youmeant, but had to yank your chain a little /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/devilgrin.gif

Mebbe it was that orange goo that builds up on the inside of the car windows...
I hate working on a heavy smokers car. the controls are all gunky, ya cant see out the windows, and it makes yer eyes water just sitting in the car. not to mention that it seems that a lot of really heavy smokers, are also big slobs.
And trust me, those 14 little pine trees, or one of those smelly bottles stuck to the fins of every vent, DON'T WORK! then it just smells like french vanilla cigarette butts.
BLARRRFFFF!
Way to go Janel! I'm proud. and the interior of your MGs is thankful too.

Ahh, that's when I miss it most, when I'm out driving.

Scott, is just silly to smoke that ONE cigarette every day or every couple days. You're just telling yourself you can't do it, can't quit. I've had some extremely stressful days since I quit, including the death of a close friend that I've been friends with for 40 years. You can do it.

I still carry my security pack around. Opened the beginning of January for Carol Mangles to have a couple smokes out of it. It goes with me anywhere I go. They ought to taste real good by now, hey, 4 months stale?

Congrats!!! I never have smoked...but did like my beer. Five years ago this past week-end..my First of four(so far) Grandkids was born. That day I told my wife that being I drank for the first half of my adult life...I'd quit for the second half. So far so good...and I got more money to buy cars and parts with:smile:

It takes time, but those will come back around. Could be 6 months to a year, but they will come back.

Mail Scott some of your stale cigarettes, that will help him kick that one-a-day habit. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

great work,

I bet the four hundred dollars is in "those old things" hiding in the back of the closet /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

Wow! Congrats JB.

Hmmmm? Lets see 121 days not smoking for a pack a day smoker in radiation exposure terms, equates to roughly 18 or 19 chest x-rays that you didn’t get.

Sorry but I couldn't help myself.... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif
