Hey gang. OK so I posted a photo expose so to speak up on my website.

A couple of folks asked that I do so - here they are.
Tracy's web page
It shows what I did to install the Smitty kit and the modifications /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/hammer.gifI made.

The best advice I can give is to test fit using the Smitty bell housing BEFORE installing the tranny.

Hi, I did my Toyota conversion 6 years ago now, (not Smitty, the Conversion components version ) Never looked back, it has improved my "enjoyability" of the car hugely. The reason for this post is: Transmission Losses. The original gearbox and O/drive absorbed how much power? The Toyota box, apart from being lighter, is presumably more efficient. As university lecturers might say, discuss
 
Well Healeyneil, I don't know about power losses with the old BMC box, but mine generates power and I can feel it in the cockpit!--Keoke- /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
