Here is a good place to get a replacement. This is the same unit that is sold on Ebay by some individual all the time. Note: the one problem is the plastic float which gets holes due to the wire poking it. I replaced mine with a brass float.

Thanks very much for that info. I acturally have a NOS British Leyland sending unit that only has a Smiths number stamped on it, box has lost it's tag. I thought it may belong to a Big Healey since it's almost definatly not MG or Triumph??
It is Smiths part number TB1214/004 It's a top mount unit with six screw holes.
