Hi, I don't seem to be able to unscrew the original instrument bulbs. They're set deep into the socket and hard to get a grasp on.(surrounded by those fingers) I'd prefer not to destroy them. Does anybody have an idea as to their removal? Thanks, Tyrone BJ8

If the wire going into the back of the socket seems well-attached, pull it gently to compress the coil spring inside, relieving the pressure on the bulb.Bob

Unfortunately my method entails destroying the bulb. But sometimes ya gotta do what ya gotta do. With the bulb broken and the power turned off, I have grabbed the edge of the brass base with needle nose pliers to rotate the threaded base. But also if the socket is this badly stuck, it may be necessary to just replace the socket.
