About the twin carb cable linkage assembly
from Ratco.

Tony went the extra mile for me and it's sitting in
Downingtown, PA at Frank's house all ready to make
the trip to PR next week. HooRah !!

My email server simply will not communicate with Ratco's
server and our phone lines on the island are overloaded
with outgoing calls to the states.

Could someone kindly email Tony and tell him I send many
thanks and wish him a merry Christmas??

Gracias,

d

I'll copy and paste your post and send it to him. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

OK, Bugeye beat me to it.

I'm glad Tony straightened everything out with you over the linkage. He's a class act.

Thanks guys!

Greatly appreciated.

So few people take the time to say "Thanks"
when someone goes the extra mile. I didn't
want Tony thinking I was THAT type of person.

Thanks again!

I would like to see the installation on a stock setup documented in your usual finely detailed fashion. More of those out there than the tri-carbs.

Another way this forum proves what the Internet is for. Tony anticipated the problem, found a "work-around" to have ~maximum effect~!

HOO-rah... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

Larry,

You won't be unhappy. That is a nice package and if your firewall bushings are in good shape, you will have full wide open throttle when the pedal hits the metal.

When I bought mine from Tony, I knew that I would have to modify the firewall bracket to change the angle of the cable to fit under the tri-carbs. The bracket is made for the stock twin carbs, so installation should be that much easier.

Hey Paul !

As proved time and again, my auto mechanic skills are
limited at best. I do take decent photos of this and
that, so I can repair my many blunders. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/yesnod.gif

I'll do a "How To" for the cable assembly conversion BUT
I might need a little help with the install from the forum
experts.

as usual, I might add!

Dale,

You can do it blindfolded if you review my installation and forget about the bending of the firewall bracket.

The hardest thing is twisting under the carbs to remove the stock linkage and twisting back in to install the new bracket for the cable to come up through on the rear carb. I guess that it will be a lot easier with two rather than with three carbs. Pretty cramped in there with those.

Lay a big old towel or blanket under the carbs to catch the bolts and lock washers as they fall out of your fingers. It saves crawling under the car (and using a magnet to dig it out of the frame) to find them.
