Slow Server

If you were experiencing a very slow site today (Friday, 17 April 2026), it is because it was determined that the server was under a DDoS attack (Distributed Denial of Service) from a large group of IP addresses originating from Singapore. The entire block of offending IPs has been blocked. Sorry for any frustration.

Thank you sir! There were several times I got "cannot reach server" during the day today. On and off, but very frustrating.

When it doesn’t come up immediately I wait a few seconds. ThenI go on to my next site figuring I’ll come back later and try again.

UPDATE: Since I don't think we have any legit members from Singapore, I have permanently blocked the entire country in my firewall (I've has issues with IPs from Singapore many times in the past)

BCF seems back on track for me now.

Is anyone else getting slow? I'm 77, going on 78. Believe me, I'm getting slow! And so's my great great grandson ...
