In the shop we nib off with 1000, then hit it with 1500 on the DA (lightly ) This is followed by 3000 wet on the DA(no 1500 scratches are left) Now it buffs easily with a wool pad and 3M perfect it #1.The final polish is #2 with a foam pad. If you do it differently than this ,I wish you luck,you will need it....There is no better/faster way in my experience(40+years).
