I saw it in flight one time as it was departing Hill Air Force base, UT. When I worked at NORAD in the mid-late 70s we would see it fly through our airspace. We knew what it was from the altitude and speed.Iβve seen the SR-71 at the Pima Air and Space Museum. Itβs an amazing aircraft.
That must have been an awesome sight. Never seen that but, yesterday driving home the Warplane Heritage Museum Lancaster flew over. We used to live much closer and it was aregular occurance and other planes as well (and the sound!)That must have been an awesome sight.
