I am at work now and cannot measure the nut on the crank pulley. I would like to go to Sears and get one after work.
What size is it?
I think this will help me better set the valves on the GT.
I'd be talking offset box-end... it may be difficult to get a socket/ratchet/bar in there between the X-member and pulley on some cars (without undoing the motor mounts and raising it up an inch or three).
Step one anytime my hands are going into the engine compartment... Remove the battery terminals. Thermostatic fans will scare the bejezus outta ya when they kick on while your bent over them.
Strange. When I was done working on it last night trying to drain all the gas I went on to working on checking the compression. I'm all alone but said to myself "I think I should pull out the key" as if she was gonna start herself up and run me over.
Actaully my wife. I am surprised that she let me get this in our current $$ situ. This was too good to pass up. Way too good!
I am selling a lot of my midget parts and maybe the Midget itself unless I can find a good/great deal on a rust free 1972 Blaze Midget.
Trying to sell her sporty also.
I have a red die cast model of a 1958 plymouth Fury on top of the entertainment center... Almost talked my dad in to getting me a 1960 Belvedere for my first car... I love the plymouth fins! The 60 belvedere is still sitting where it was when I found it 18 years ago... rusting into the ground now though. sad.
