Six Blade Metal Fan on my 67 Midget

My 67 Midget has a (yellow) six blade metal fan. The bolts through the fan to the water pump pully have rubber bushings. Do most 67 Midgets have the four blade fan and what is the difference? My trunk lid has only the MG enclosed in the octaginal but the MIDGET lettering was never a part of the trunk . My limited research shows that the 67 was supposed to have both the MG and the MIDGET lettering. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/driving.gif
Thanks for all the help.. the restoration is going well. I ordered new master cylinder clutch master cylinder from Vicy Brit and received the plastic fluid resevoirs, but I suppose they function as well, maybe better. I'm completing a total degrease of the car first... that's coming along... then new brake lines front to rear... that should get me on the road. Thanks again for all the valuable help.
 
I have a Gold Seal 67 engine and it has a 4 blade metal fan.
I also have had a couple other 67 engines and they all had 4 blade fans. But maybe you have a very late 67 and BMC tried out the 6 blade metal fan before having it made in plastic which started in 68.
Make sure you do NOT have a fan from a Mini, they had 6 or more blades, and were metal. But they are reverse pitched blades, they pulled air in from the front and pushed it out the side. To test your fan, start the car, you will feel the breeze comming thru the radiator, if it's a Mini fan, it will be pushing air out the front not drawing it in.

I'm not sure what's going on with my car.. I checked the carburetors and the tags say, AUC 990. I can't even find a reference for those carbs. Thanks for your help. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thirsty.gif
