Okay, so I'm all doped up. After that last thing I posted
thought the only place for me is the bar (pub). Hey,
when you're feelig no pain, might as well go to the bar,
right?

So I make a post about next to nothing, cept I'm hoping for
an answer, cause I dunno what that is but I want it,
(a reference to the thumb nut size to hold my speedo in)
and looking at the screen hoping some poor soul would
have and post the info.....
Look like those guys what turned to skeleton with the
spider webs draped from em while waiting for an answer
to a computer question from customer support....

Can you picture this??? Yeah, it gets bad when all you
want to do is put your car back together just the way it
should be so you can go driving.... but you know how it is,
while your apart, might as well do this; might as well do
that....better wait for the right part and do it right...

But life could be a lot worse... I could have no pain
medication.

What happened to put you on pain meds? Hope it wasn't the same thing that put me on pain meds the last time, kidney stones. Aaaarrrggghhh.

Yeah. I went on a weight loss kick after the first of
the year. Got to exercising. Maybe too much too soon;
got hernia.

Doctor says bad on one side of the pubis; other side is
looking weak -- so double hernia operation.
Everything in the region gets a little sore and
swollen. Yeah, I was eating pain meds major.

Ahhh hernias. Spent the best 2 months of my life at home with pain pills and no work after surgery. Took me about an hour to hobble to the bathroom for a day or 2, but it was WELL worth it to get out of work for a little while. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

Recently spent the better part of eight weeks in a nose-down attitude due to a detached retina and subsequent proceedure. I'd not recommend that as a 'work avoidance' tactic. The hernia ploy affects me in a similar manner... no thanks! I'll find SOME excuse to not be there. "Dog ate my report" or suchlike.

I HATE being laid up. I'd RATHER be working. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/jester.gif
