I give up.

How do you go about having emails come into your email box when new responses are made to a thread?

And, how do you do a search according to subject matter or poster?

This computer challenged individual would like to know. :wall:

And finally, is there any provision for going back to something you have posted in order to correct spelling errors?

Jack

Hey Jack. Good to see you here. :smile:

You can edit a post for a certain amount of time after you have posted it by opening the thread and looking at your post. At the bottom will be a series of buttons, one of which will allow you to edit it. After a time, the post is "locked" and can't be edited any longer.

The search button is in the upper right corner, right next to the FAQ button.

As for email notification, I don't know if that's available here.

Thanks Peter !

Has someone asked Basil to implement the email notification thing? I find it very useful over on MGE as you can either opt in or opt out of the service, and when someone adds a post or asks a question to a long gone thread it comes back to you and the poster doesn't feel like he is being ignored.

Thanks again, Jack

From the navigation at the top of the page:

My Stuff -> Watch Lists

You can watch by topic, forum or author.

For example I have every forum marked and It sends me an email "every time a new post is created"

This is by far the best best subcription functionality I have seen of any car forum. I get almost every post delivered to my email.
