This was a bit of a shock that I just saw in my email feed...https://www.mcall.com/2023/07/26/acclaimed-irish-singer-sinead-oconnor-dies-at-age-56/?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_term=https%3a%2f%2fwww.mcall.com%2f2023%2f07%2f26%2facclaimed-irish-singer-sinead-oconnor-dies-at-age-56%2f&utm_campaign=Breaking-News-Alerts&utm_content=alert

saw that. Not one of my favourite singers but you knoew where she stood and even if I didn't always agree I appreciated her activism.

I suspect it is connected to the death of her son in 2022.

I’ll second JPs entire post… I did not always agree, but I respect her for speaking her mind - and being open and forthright about suffering from depression. And I suspect her death was not natural. Sad.

I wasn't a fan of her music, but did feel for her in her struggle with mental illness.

When I first heard, I was sad -- beautiful voice (I did like her music, if not her views), plus hey she was a person.
Then I misheard my wife saying how old she was -- I thought she said "63". Not old, but still, a relatively full life?
Then I heard her correct age... which is my wife's exact age

(Yes, I am now at the age where "too young" and "full life" are now only 7 years apart)
