Ouch!

How extortionate, the two main British suppliers (AH Spares & SC Parts) list it for ÂŁ13 ~ $20 roughly.

I find a little international comparison shopping may be beneficial at times....

But will AH spares put a little brass nameplate on it that says "Fido", which just happens to be the name of my spare tire? Serious question now: Does anybody know the length of the original strap?

SHG,The strap length is 33" +/- 1".---Keoke

"I find a little international comparison shopping may be beneficial at times...."
I will be doing this more often as some items are very competively priced compared to our usual US sources .

I was talking about real LBC " bits "...
Petsmart is where I would go 1st for a good dog collar. B.T.W... My spare tire is named " DUKE "

I Heard you loud and clear ED.---Keoke /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

It's a little harder to shop the UK for either single bits, small items or if you need something fast. Sometimes the prices are much better, though shipping often makes up the difference. And, if there's a mistake in the order, then there's getting it back there.

And even the specialty guys (like ol' Anthony's best buddy) make mistakes, and their mistakes become your problems when they shrug and tell you, "I don't know" when they send you the wrong part and you ask them what should you do with it.

So if I'm going to have to eat a mistake, I'd rather it be $5 than $50.

Hey Ed, I can get you one for a tire named "Duke".

My spare must be named Michelin cause it says so. Can I get one named "Michelin"? Will it keep flees out of the boot?

[/ QUOTE ]

Of course you can TH, to address the Flea problem just put a little "Advantage " on it---Keoke-- /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif

Here is a picture of the strap
Hope this Helps
