Doeas anyone knows if the hole under the batteries compartment is ment to be hollow and able to see the floor when you lift the cover?
 
First, A silly question is only the one that you don't ask when you don't know the answer! Never be embarrassed to ask a question on this forum, as you have access to a ton of very nice experienced people who are more than willing to answer your questions if they can. I have only got my gt from the end of December and I slowly trying to restore, not that it needs alot to be done to it.

But I got reallly worried when I first saw it, although I kind of suspected it, I could believe it.
 
You might want to buy a copy of "The Original MGB"...you can get it through Amazon.com
