Doeas anyone knows if the hole under the batteries compartment is ment to be hollow and able to see the floor when you lift the cover?

First, A silly question is only the one that you don't ask when you don't know the answer! Never be embarrassed to ask a question on this forum, as you have access to a ton of very nice experienced people who are more than willing to answer your questions if they can. As far as the battery box, my 72 and my 79 both are open in the bottom. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif PJ /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/patriot.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/england.gif

They were designed to be open - how long have you had your MG?

I have only got my gt from the end of December and I slowly trying to restore, not that it needs alot to be done to it.

But I got reallly worried when I first saw it, although I kind of suspected it, I could believe it.

You might want to buy a copy of "The Original MGB"...you can get it through Amazon.com
