Well at least I know know what it is.
Carb throtle shafts are not aligned with each other, ie offset a bit so they bind some.
Will not go all the way to idle with out messing.
I can push it down the last eight inch but hard to do on the road.
So far the only way I can see to align them is to add some gaskets to the rear carb so it is further out.
Yep both carbs came from an orginal set. Have no clue why unless new bushings for the shafts were not quite centered when they were drilled. They were really worn.
Well tomorrow is another day and I will try the gasket trick unless someone has a better idea.
