signal light question

As part of Ms Triss's chrome bumper conversion I had BE beehive front signal lights installed. Now that I am trying to wire them, I am trying to sort things out.

As I understand it, I have a dual filament bulb. Thus, when I pull on the headlights the signal light also goes on. Then, when I turn on the signals the other filament turns on - is this correct?

I found out there are two different types of bases out there for beehive lamps. One takes two filamnet 1157 and the other takes single filament 1156(tail lamps on BE for example). In the VB Catalog you can order just the base separate from the rest of the lamp assembly if you've got the wrong one. Need to change out bases on my BE Bonnet for my '68 Sprite. I bought Beehive lamps 5-6 years ago and discovered post installation this year that I only had bases that fit 1156 Bulbs.
